About Free-Academy.com

A lot of terms can be used to describe Free-Academy.com. You could say we are the worlds first FREE online university. You could say that we are a FREE database of learning materials. You could even say we are a FREE animated textbook.

However you choose to describe us one thing remains the same. We hire academically accredited professors to teach college level classes. Our animators then remake the videos with high quality demonstrative graphics. We then post the animated lectures for everybody to view FREE of charge. There is no signing up and absolutely no hassle.

The goal is to build the ultimate study guide for students. Beyond that we are also trying to make the ultimate classroom guide for teachers. We post the source files for all our animations so that professors can use them in their own classrooms to teach their own way. We also provide pre built lectures and teaching guides to make teaching a new class even easier. And our Curriculum program that we are currently building will allow teachers to reorganize materials in our database and add their own to provide their students with a customized online class.

FAQ's

Q: Does Free-Academy.com host its materials or is it just a link farm?

A: Free-Academy.com host all of our teaching materials on our site. No external links whatsoever.

Q: Does Free-Academy.com offer degrees?

A: No. Free-Academy.com provides all of the material needed for a college education, but we do not want to compete with existing universities. Our goal is to expand the outside instruction provided at these great institutions. Think of us more like an animated textbook, that is here to help students learn more effectively. Intead of just having static print like textbooks, all of our material is taught by a real professor, which makes learning easier! Sometimes just having things taught a different way is all the help a student needs.

Q: Does Free-Academy.com produce rich media learning materials or just text?

A: Both! All the subject we teach at Free-Academy.com are offered in both video and text for students, and lecture notes and templates for teachers.

Q: How do I know the material taught at Free-Academy.com is reliable?

A: Once we have obtained growth funds all of our instructors at Free-Academy.com all have PhD's in their field. Furthermore a peer review system is being put in place so that other accredited professors can comment and correct our work. Until then our pilot courses are being taught by our founder, Sean Luck, who is a graduate student majoring in Condensed Matter Physics at Catholic University of America.

Q: Does Free-Academy.com have real teachers to answer my questions?

A: Yes and no. We do have real teachers who answer questions, but not in a live setting. Each lecture has a FAQ list and a comment box. Users who cannot find their question in the FAQs list
